Thai Yoga Massage
What
is Thai Yoga Massage?
Thai Yoga
Massage is one of the newest forms of alternative healing to
reach western society. It is a holistic therapy that can
relax as well as energize.
Origins of Thai Yoga Bodywork can be traced back 2,500 years
to India and the spread of Buddhism. This ancient art has
close ties with Hatha Yoga, traditional Chinese medicine,
Japanese Shiatsu, and is still widely practiced in Thailand.
The main focus of Thai Yoga Massage is helping to attain or
regain ‘balance’ in the flow of energy in the body,
including the nervous, digestive, and respiratory systems.
The Practitioner uses hands, feet, arms, and elbows to apply
pressure along the energy lines, in combination with gentle
stretching and applied Hatha Yoga.
This releases blocked energy and allows the body to regain
it’s own natural healing abilities, thus restoring balance,
health and harmony.
Thai Yoga Bodywork is a great way to increase flexibility
and mobility, realign your body, reduce stress and relax the
body and give you increased energy.
What to
expect from your Thai Yoga Massage
Thai Yoga
Massage is performed on comfortable mats on the floor. The
recipient is fully clothed during the massage. It is best to
wear loose, thin clothing. Tights, shorts or track pants,
and a t-shirt or tank top is best suited.
Your body will be manipulated into stretches and yoga
postures based on your mobility. It is very relaxing and
enjoyable. You are completely passive in the manipulation as
your body should feel like dead weight similar to a Raggety
Ann doll. The Practitioner does all the work. Thai Yoga
Massage has been referred to as 'Yoga for the lazy'. Many
people actually fall asleep at times during the massage!
Acupressure (similar to Shiatsu) is applied along the 'Sen'
lines which are responsible for the bodies energetic flow.
Thumbs, palms, forearms, and feet are used to apply
pressure.
Thai Massage is
great for anyone who wants to increase their flexibility,
and realign their bodies. It will relieve muscular soreness
and tension. It is very suitable for the hardened athlete or
the most sedentary individual.
Thai Yoga Massage is a unique and very enjoyable therapy.

Reflexology
What
is Reflexology?
Reflexology works with the zones and reflexes
on the foot which correspond to all parts, glands and organs
of the body. When the reflexes are stimulated, the body’s
natural electrical energy works along the nervous system to
clear any blockages in the corresponding zones.
Applying pressure to reflex points on
the feet deeply relaxes the body and acts to bring your body
back to its normal state of ease. Reflexology helps your
body balance itself by stimulating areas which are under
active and calming area which are overactive This helps the
body to reduce stress and tension, release blocked energy,
and reduce congestion and inflammation.
Reflexology can help with the everyday
emotional stresses that we are subject to in this busy
world. It is a very relaxing experience that may help you
